The interaction between famotidine and Pb2+ was investigated using direct current polarography. The polarographic technique was used to determine the stability constants and thermodynamic parameters such as enthalpy change (ΔH#), free energy change (ΔG#) and entropy change (ΔS#) of Pb2+ complexes with famotidine. The study was carried out at two different temperatures 20 °C and 30 °C. Pb2+-famotidine complexes were formed in 1:1 and 1:2 ratios. The electrode processes were reversible and diffusion controlled.
